The ethos of The Queens Dental Practice is rooted in three guiding principles:
Preventive and evidence-based care is at the heart of our practice philosophy. Our mission is to have an ongoing partnership with our patients that supports their long-term dental and general health. We are genuinely humbled by the trust our patients place in us. We strive to repay this trust by investing in on-going training and equipment to ensure we are providing exceptional care that is excellent value given the level of expertise and treatment we provide.
The Queens Dental Practice was set up by Paul Isaacs in 2000 with the clear ambition of creating a practice that provides a level of care that he would expect for himself and his loved ones. Principal Dentist Jonathon Brown took over from Paul Isaacs in October 2019. Jonathon has brought his advanced dental implant skills and oral surgery training to the practice and it is an exciting time for everyone as we look to the future.
Paul continues to work part-time and, having passed on the responsibilities of practice ownership to Jonathon, he is enjoying being able to focus on his clinical work and maintaining the long-term relationships he has built with patients. Paul and Jonathon are working together to build on the excellent foundations he has laid and taken the practice to new heights.
One of the main advantages of our practice is continuity of care – Paul, and Alice our hygienist, have been at the practice since it was founded in 2000. This continuity of care allows us to develop lasting relationships and develop an excellent understanding of your needs and expectations. It also helps us to give better advice and recommendations for treatment.
We are able to provide care that is tailored to your needs because we enjoy the benefits of a limited list of patients in a privately-owned practice. We want you to feel well looked after by a highly-skilled dental team that is friendly and approachable.
NHS dental care is available for children and 18-year-olds in full-time education, and we offer private dental care for adults. This is a great model that allows us to treat whole families and to create a lifelong partnership with our patients from early beginnings.
As well as general dental care, we provide preventive health plans, with direct access to our hygienist as well as cosmetic treatments, including smile makeovers and tooth whitening. A range of advanced treatments is available at The Queens Dental Practice including dental implants, Invisalign®, tooth straightening and oral surgery.
Priya our dentist with a special interest in periodontology and gum disease management is able to offer expert advice and treatment to patients who suffer from gum disease. As well as being an invaluable member of our team, Priya is also a specialty registrar at Guy’s Hospital. Both Priya and Alice, our hygienist work together to establish and maintain optimum gum health for our patients.
Emergency appointments are available during normal working hours which includes early morning appointments on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and evening appointments on Tuesdays. The practice also offers Denplan™ and finance options for budget-friendly payments.
The Queens Dental Practice is conveniently situated in Buckhurst Hill’s Queen’s Road. The practice is a two-minute walk from Buckhurst Hill Underground Station on the Central Line and 30 minutes from Liverpool Street Station.
There is now step-free access to both Central Line Platforms at the bottom of Queens Road. There is also a car park opposite the practice and on-street parking on Queen’s Road.
In July 2016 the practice had a planned inspection by the CQC. This organisation is responsible for ensuring that health providers, including dentists, are safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. We were delighted that the report reflects the passion and effort our team puts into the practice. You can read what the CQC had to say about us here.
